Alzheimer's is a disease that has no cure and no prevention and every day more and more families are impacted by Alzheimer's. Strides are being made in research, but for now there is no cure. It impacts all of us, including my mother. After fighting this disease for several years, she passed away from Alzheimer’s on Valentine’s Day in 2011.
I’ve been walking to end Alzheimer’s for over 12 years. This years walk will be a little different due to the Covid virus. Instead of walking as a large group we will be walking in our neighborhoods on September 26. I invite you to join me as I walk in my neighborhood, or to walk in your own neighborhood as a part of my team. The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you. If you can’t join in the walk, please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
