I'm doing it again.....along with all of my extended family members! Anyone is welcome to join our team, so let me know if you are interested. On Saturday, Sept. 28, we are going to once again be in the WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S in the Twin Cities. This will be the first year we will be walking without my mom, who died in March 2019. She was so passionate about ending Alzheimer's, helping others who live with it and changing the stigma of the disease. She SO enjoyed these Alzheimer's walks we've done for the past few years. We are doing this together in memory/honor of my dad (LEONARD ASTRUP) who passed away 5 years ago from this HORRIFIC disease. Any of you that have seen anyone struggle through this know how devastating it is. We need to find a cure and find ways to help others.
Our family received incredible support, advice and care through the Alzheimer’s Association during the hardest parts of my dad’s journey with this disease.
We are all fundraising, hoping to once again be the #1 walk in the country again this year! Will you help?!! Let’s try to do all we can to fight this disease that is affecting so many more people each year…and so many people being diagnosed early—even in their 50’s!
After my dad died, our family created a non-profit to give back to the communities in which our businesses have served. We focus on Healthcare (dementia being one), faith, family values, education and strengthening communities! This is the ASTRUP FAMILY FOUNDATION, and we are a 501c3 of which I am the current President. We hope for this foundation to go on in to perpetuity. The Astrup Family Foundation Board of Directors has decided to--again this year--match ALL DONATIONS TO OUR WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S (ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION) DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR UP TO $15,000 this year!! Will you please consider giving generously…or giving any gift at all? Anything you give will be DOUBLED by the foundation! Thank you for considering a gift and for helping in the fight to END ALZHEIMER'S!
With love and gratitude, Susan Lundquist
