Thanks for getting to my walk page.
Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative disease which is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States and is the only cause of death among the top 10 in the US that cannot be prevented or cured. There is NO CURE. There are approximately 5.8 million people in the USA with Alzheimer's disease, which is expected to swell to 14 million people in this country by 2050. That's one new diagnosis every 65 seconds. It's shocking that 1 in 3 senior citizens will die with the disease
I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2019 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's™, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
The Alzheimer's Association has awarded over $405 million to more than 2,600 projects over the life of their grants program.
Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. While I hope that neither you nor I will be next, a more practical goal is for your kids to be the first generation to be free from the disease, which currently has NO survivors.
I need your support! Please make a tax deductible donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for your support and for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
