I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. This will be my 4th year walking and also 4th year on the Walk to End Alzheimer's Grand Rapids Committee, this year as Co-Chair. I joined the committee in 2016 after completing my undergraduate studies in Neuroscience to quench my continuous thirst for knowledge. It was then that I realized Alzheimers disease affected millions of people with no cure in sight. Thus began my quest for raising awareness to this crippling disease. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Now more than ever help is needed to fund this incredible organization.
