While doing research on this disease I have come across facts that are kind of scary..... such as: there are no survivors of Alzheimer's, and Alzheimer's affects more people in the USA then breast cancer and prostate cancer combined. While I would love for the world to have cures for everything so we can all live long beautiful, pain free-ish lives, we need to focus on the disease that takes away who we are.
I am proud to support this organization and hope that the small dent I - we can help put in to their fundraising efforts will make it so one day our children won't have to fear living with the same diseases our parents deal with (or worse, die from)
Info from End Alz.....
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R). Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
