This year has been an extremely tough one for everyone with Covid-19, and I feel for those who have lost their jobs, or more importantly lost loved ones. My prayers are with you. But for those with loved ones in assisted living facilities like my father is, you know first hand how hard this has hit them - loneliness, depression, loss of weight - not seeing their families and having a HUG is a terrible thing. I have only seen my father on face time since mid-March when he was used to seeing my sister or me every day of the week for the past six years. For this reason, I will walk virtually to raise money to fight this terrible disease that takes a bit of your loved one away each day.
Did you know that one in three seniors die with Alzheimer's or another dementia? And that more than 5 million Americans are living with this disease. Too many of them were affected or died from Covid-19 - alone.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please consider a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. If you are able to contribute at all, please do so - every dollar helps. If not, it's understood, and thanks for reading this, and consider a prayer!
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's! Your donation will help people like my mother, Connie who passed away 16 years ago Sept 13 with dementia and Parkinson's, and my father, George, who has Alzheimer's, and probably someone YOU know and love! STAY SAFE!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
