My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2014 so this disease hits home for me as I know it does for so many of you. After my mother passed away last year, it was too difficult for me to join the walk. But, after spending the last year caring for my father and savoring my time with him, I know first-hand the toll this disease takes on everyone involved. I'm grateful to the Alzheimer's Association for providing support.
Alzheimer's disease is the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S. and the only top 10 cause of death that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed. An estimated 5.8 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to reach 13.8 million by 2050.
Thanks to the generous support of so many loved ones, I raised more than $5,000 in 2018. Please help me reach my goal again by making a tax-deductible donation. All donations benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association -- and every dollar makes a difference in this fight.
Your support can make an even bigger impact this year because the Tufts Health Plan Foundation will match every dollar we raise!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
