I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I'm NOT actually walking because of my pesky knees, but I decided to join my cousin Harley's team to help fund raise in honor of my grandmother. Nina was so much more than a grandmother to me. She was my best friend since I was born, my confidante, my partner in crime and my hero. I'm so grateful for the thousands of memories. I'm grateful for the bond we shared and the bond she had with my kids. She touched so many lives, even while she was sick with dementia. She made this world a better place and will always be in my heart and soul.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
