In 2014 we lost Nana (Peg) Hoy to Alzheimer's. In 2017 Gramp (Bob) Hoy, her caregiver passed away. They were the most generous and caring people and loved by all who were lucky enough to have known them. Nana could brighten up a room just by walking into it and Gramp was known for his keen sense of humor.
Nana & Gramp always encouraged me to work hard and try my best in everything that I did. They was always there to celebrate even our smallest accomplishments. They fostered my love of the beach. Some of my favorite memories were made sitting on the porch with Nana & Gramp watching the boats come in.
Alzheimer's took Nana from us too soon. Nana & Gramp are greatly missed by their 6 children, 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
We are Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. In Nana's memory I am participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's
Please consider making a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure. The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
