Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. So are we. Join our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
My Mom was diagnosed in March of 2016 with Alzheimer's Disease. This did not come as a surprise as we saw the signs for years leading up to this. My grandmother, her mother had it. We knew. We watched. We waited for her to be comfortable with testing and then one day it was confirmed - Alzheimer's! As much as you know it's happening you never want to believe that this is your reality.
This is our life now. She isn't getting better, only worse. Since she was diagnosed three years ago we have seen a significant decline. She is involved in clinical trials. She is a human guinea pig as she will fight this beast to the end. She fights as she tells me in her moments of clarity for me, for my sister, for her grandchildren, our friends, all of us that will come after her so that there will be more hope should it be our turn. Her wish is that none of us have to face this battle. It's one she will fight for us if we can find a cure so no one else has to suffer!
She is the bravest of the brave. She is our soldier. Help us to help our solider and all the other brave soldiers out there to kill this beast once and for all!
In three years we have raised over 30K to fight this disease! We would love to make it 40K this year!! Wouldn't it be amazing if we could! I know we can with your help!
