He was consumed by an incurable disease, and I felt like all I could do was watch it happen. It killed me to see it happen to such a good man and such a tight-knit family.
Sadly he passed away last February. Even though this disease took away my grandpa's magnificent brain and caring personality; it did not take away of my memories of before the disease.He still is and always will be the man that taught me many life lessons. He would have never stopped fighting for me; so I will continue to fight for him.
That is why I am joining the cause to end Alzheimer's Disease. I realized that I do not just have to stand by and watch the disease I can take a stand; for not only him, but for the millions of others who have the disease and for their families.
