Alzheimer's disease has impacted my life both personally and professionally. Being blessed with loving grandparents led me down a path of serving older adults which I am beyond grateful for. Having now worked in senior care for almost 25 years, my stories and experiences with Alzheimer's disease are countless. As a granddaughter, as a social worker, as a caregiver..... I have often times felt helpless and hopeless. Looking back at photos, I found my first time participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's was 2006. I walk and I fundraise each year because it helps me find strength, knowing that one day there may be a cure, there may be a life spared of this disease, there may be a family who gets extra days, extra years with the ones they hold so dear.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
