In February 2017, our worst fears became a reality. Just a few years after Gil retired from 27 years as a police officer, he was diagnosed with early onset of Alzheimer's by a nationally recognized doctor of neurology at Northwestern Medical Hospital. He also battles neuromuscular neuropathy. It is extremely disheartening that there is no cure and limited treatment, but we have hope and count our blessings every day. Gil is a very disciplined person, he is strong, and he is a fighter! Will you help fight alongside him and our family?
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. If you are unable to donate at this time, we would be just as grateful for your prayers!
