I retired from my law practice after my wife, Kris, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I became her caregiver in our home. We had many wonderful years thereafter, together and with our kids and grandkids. There came a time, however, that I could no longer provide adequate care for Kris in our home. She became a resident of Grand View Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Peoria in late August 2018. Until Grand View restricted access to its facility because of Covid-19, I visited Kris twice a day, morning and afternoon, without fail. I now visit Kris outdoors once a week with one or the other of our kids.
This year our daughter, Gretchen Moon, has decided to direct her Facebook donations to my site, and her husband, Joe, will also direct his donations to my site. Our son, Geoff, will continue to maintain his own site. Our family is pleased to partner with Grand View again this year in our fundraising efforts for the Walk to End Alzheimer's.
Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. All donated funds go to the Alzheimer's Association. Thank you.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
