My mother, Betty Rattenbury, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and my father, Bruce Rattenbury, has been diagnosed with vascular dementia. My Aunt Francie Freeland Williams lost her life to younger onset Alzheimer's disease before she turned 70. My father-in-law, Les Grove, lived with Alzheimer's for 10 years before passing away at 90. I work for the Alzheimer's Association, and I'm excited about progress in research, especially the growing body of scientific evidence that a healthy lifestyle can help protect cognitive function Funds raised through the Walk will help fund the researchers who will find ways to end dementia and, until that time, will help support the growing number of individuals and families facing dementia. Thank you for your support!!
