I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
With Jerry's permission, I want to share our story. - My husband of 43 years was diagnosed with dementia and early onset Alzheimer's disease in March of 2016. There hasn't been a whole lot of change since the diagnosis, praise the Lord! Jerry struggles with finding the words to relay his message and being able to retain information.
I'd love to have your help in trying to find a cure for Alzheimer disease. If you can join us for the walk, pray for us and/or help with a monetary donation, it would be greatly appreciated.
I hope to have some fundraisers prior to the September walk, so check out my FB page!!
Be sure to get yourself or a family member checked out, if you feel there are significant changes in memory or the ability to finish a project that used to be easy. You are also welcome to contact me for any questions you may have.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
