My sweet Daddy, Fred Brown, died in 2018, due in large part to Dementia. He was 96 and had other health issues, but by far the worst of those was the dementia. He simply was unable to assist in his own rehabilitation and recovery. It was agonizing for us to watch this disease steal his intelligence, memory and the very essence of who he was. There was nothing we could do.
He was so proud of the 18 years he worked with the Alzhiemer's Assoc, 10 of those years Co-Chairing the Southern Crescent Walk to End Alzheimer's with his love, Iola Snow.
