My job is to continue to build awareness of Alzheimer's and dementia through the Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter. But it is also very personal. My father had a form of dementia caused from brain bleeds and passed almost 6 years ago. I honestly mourned him before his passing as his memory slowly faded. I remember spending a day with him at his nursing home where he had a lucid moment. He looked around the lunch room which was mostly residents with memory issues/ dementia and said - what is wrong with these people - Amy, we need to help them. So, I am keeping my promise to him. Can you help me help the 5 million + people living with this disease by donating to my Walk to End Alzheimer's team? Click the link below - any amount will help us get closer to the day when no one needs help from this disease.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
