This cause of Alzheimers is very personal to me as it afflicted my grandmother, Aunt, mother and mother-in-law. I have a vision that the war on Alzheimer's will be as strong as the war on breast cancer has become. Alzheimer's affects us all as granddaughters, sons, daughters, friends. And the disease has not gotten half of the attention as many perhaps because we do not see it as imminently affecting us personally as I believe we should. Please join me in this war on Alzheimers, and to provide support for the caregivers like my Dad and Father-in-law and Maria and Paula who tirelessly and lovingly cared for my mother-in-law.
(more on the size and scope of the cause below thanks to the experts)
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's! And thank you for honoring my Mom, Mother-in-law and many other friends and family affected.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
