I'm walking in honor of my dad, Ed Sprouse. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's 3 years ago. He is a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was an attorney in Columbus for 43 years. My dad loved his work and making a positive difference in our community. I have two older sisters, Kathleen Doss of Birmingham, AL, and Shannon Ferguson of Athens, GA. Between the three of us, my parents have 10 grandchildren. We have been blessed beyond measure with some wonderful family times! My Dad has taught us all about grace, patience, loyalty, dedication, traditions, and the deep values of kindness and unconditional love. Due to Alzheimer’s, he has retired, and is living life to the fullest while he can. We have had some hard moments, some changes, forgetfulness, and just the robbing of my dad's precious mind. We are devastated that this is happening to a man we all love so dearly! Currently, more than 5.8 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our family has already witnessed some effects of this cruel disease, and we are just in the beginning stages. We see the great need for funds to fight this awful disease. My Daddy has just finished an eighteen month trial, so we are personally grateful for the true blessings of what those funds do in the researching and testing to ENDALZ!! The future of so many is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. We know our world is facing challenging times, and are aware that donations may be difficult. Please consider joining our team, lifting us in prayer , or making a donation to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you so much for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
