I will always remain dedicated to this cause. Mom passed last November after putting up a good fight against vascular dementia for five years.
I miss her so much every day
This year, I once again am going all out in my volunteer role with the Broward Walk To End Alzheimer's. I am the Mission Chair. It's perfect for me because I want to bring awareness to this disease. I want to help #endalz so that families and their loved ones do not ever have to endure Alzheimer's or Dementia, of which today there is no cure.
I didn't choose this, and neither did My Mom. But, We accepted it and I remain #momswarrior.
Won't you be one of #momswarriors?
Right now, there are no medications to help with this progressive disease.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you
