We have seen first-hand how dementia-related illnesses can change a person's life and the lives of those around them. You spend so many years making memories only to have them stolen away. Fortunately, dad and I had several years to make new memories. He had dementia but dementia never had us and we can help others say the same.
The Alzheimer's network truly helped us through this challenge. They provided support through education, connection, and the caregiver support groups. This organization was truly a blessing to our lives.
