It's been 12 years since my husband Rick was diagnosed with a combination of Frontal Temporal Degeneration (FTD) and Alzheimers at the age of 51. We are blessed that he is in a great memory care center and is doing well. We MUST find treatments that will help, diagnostic tools for early diagnosis and support for their caregivers. We must support the organizations who are working towards these goals.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's, many more have other dementias, and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Please join us for the walk and make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's & Dementia!
