Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. So are we. Join our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

Neil Francis Kirwan, of St. Augustine, Florida, died on March 4, 2017, at the age of 83. Neil was born in Petoskey, Michigan. After serving in the Korean War, he gained national recognition when he attended Central Michigan University and headed a campaign for funds for an orphanage in Seoul, Korea. He went on to write for the Maryknoll Missionary Fathers' Publications. In 1963, Neil married Dorothy. They moved from Beacon, New York to St. Augustine in 2003 and enjoyed 53 years of marriage.
Neil is loved and missed by his surviving wife, Dorothy; daughter, Mary Beth Bodor; son-in-law, Chris Bodor; granddaughters, Ashley-Marie and Courtney Bodor; and countless others. Neil Kirwan was one of the most amazing men. He had a heart of gold and was extremely intelligent.

Our family would like to express and extreme debt of gratitude to Loving Care Living Facility and Vitas Hospice for all of their love and attention to Neil during his last year of life.

Alzheimer's is a cruel disease that is incredibly painful to watch. Grieving someone while they are still physically here is an experience that I prefer not to put into words. There are limited resources for caregivers who suffer from a HUGE caregiver burden. Research funds are limited. Let's find a cure!

Please donate if you can. Any amount is grately appreciated.
