Hello Friends! Many of you know me personally, and you know that this cause is very near and dear to my heart. I am the full-time caregiver for my mom, who I affectionately call #MyFavoriteGirl and my grandmother, who I call #MyFavoriteGrandma, who both have a dementia diagnosis. My mom's condition has progressed significantly over the past two years and as her caregiver and baby girl, it's been very challenging to watch. But, by the grace of God, we face each day head on and make the most of each one. I am determined to make ministry out of each of these moments.
I connected with the Alzheimer's Association two years ago and have worked closely wit the Tallahassee Association since last year. I now serve as a committee member and am actively engaged in doing all I can to to help lead the way to Alzheimer's first survivor. The Alzheimer's Walk is one way that we can do just that. I joined the fight and I walk for my grandparents, Booker T. & Katie; for my mom, Vera; for my grandmother, Julie; for my aunts, Vivian & Lillian, for my uncle, Glover; for our future generations; and for YOU and YOUR FAMILY members who may be battling this mean and cruel disease. One day, we’ll find a cure and your donation will bring us a little closer.
Friends, together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Would you please consider making a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association to get us there? My goal is to raise at least $1500 for this year's walk. Will you help m to reach that goal? No amount is too small. Whatever you give, you can rest assured in knowing that you, too, are connected in the fight and are making a difference in this endeavor.
If you live in the Tallahassee area, I also invite you to join my team (#MyFavoriteGirl) and come out and walk with me on October 12, 2019. I would love to have you out there walking with me for #MyFavoriteGirl and countless others.
Thank you in advance for your donation and consideration. Kingdom Blessings. Priscilla
