As you may know, I have the honor of serving on the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer's Association National Capital Area Chapter. This cause is personal to me as this disease devastated two of my grandparents (Dorothy Carter and Charles Sullivan) and several other people in my life who ultimately succumbed to the disease. I know firsthand the urgency of finding a cure, so I respectfully ask you to join me in supporting this great effort. We need your help!
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's on September 27. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050.
Please make a donation today - whatever you can afford - to help me reach my goal of $2,000 for this walk. Your generosity will continue to provide vital care and support to those living with Alzheimer's and their caregivers in the DC region and help to advance research that will one day lead us to the first survivor of Alzheimer's.
Every dollar counts in this fight. I hope I can count on you.
Thank you for your support.
