I’mwalking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2019Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s™. I’m committed toraising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number isexpected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unlesswe can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer'sAssociation advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure forAlzheimer’s. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Associationoffers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
This walk is very personal for me as mymother was diagnosed with younger onset Alzheimer’s Disease at the age of 60and spent the next 20 years of her life in an extended care facility untilher death 4 years ago. The following year I lost Molly, a woman who was a second mother to me since I was 12. So I fight for MY 2 MOMS . It has also affecteda lot of people in my extended family grandmother, cousins and the list goeson. Family members you know what toll this disease takes not only on the personwho has it but the family as a whole. We need to find a cure, continue theresearch, and raise people’s awareness. I can't do anything more for mom but Ican continue the fight for other families going through this viciousillness. Join me in this fight if you don’t want to walk consider making even asmall donation. I know how difficult these times are economically for everyone, but I feel very strongly about supporting this cause. To make a donation online.
