Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. I am walking in memory of my grandfather who had both Lewy Body Dementia and early stages of Alzheimer's Disease, as well as for those who have fought and continue to fight this disease. I am raising money in hopes to further research into Alzheimer's that will lead to cures in current cases and eliminate future diagnoses.
Though the Walk will be virtual and look much different this year, we will never stop advocating and raising money to finally see a world with the first Alzheimer's Disease survivor. On September 26, 2020, my team will be walking remotely, sporting our purple and coming together for an important cause. Collectively, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please consider joining my team and/or making a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's! Together we are stronger.
