Dear Friends and Family,
It has been nine and one-half years since my husband Cliff's death at age 62 and sixteen years since his diagnosis at age 55 in October 2004. Even though Cliff is gone, more than 5 million Americans currently have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Alzheimer's isn't waiting, and neither am I. I'm participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® and fundraising for Alzheimer's care, support, and research. I am walking in memory of Cliff and all other friends and family members who have suffered from this devastating disease. In particular, I'm also walking in memory of Dan Dolan, a dear friend who died from Alzheimer's disease this spring.
This year, Walk is everywhere — on every sidewalk, track, and trail. While we won't be gathering at a large in-person event, I'll be walking in my neighborhood on Saturday, September 19th while others in our community are walking in theirs. Will you support me in the fight to #ENDALZ by making a donation on my fundraising page?
Every dollar you donate will help the Alzheimer's Association® provide care and support to all those facing Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Together, we can end Alzheimer's. Please consider supporting my efforts with a donation.
I hope to make a big contribution in the fight against Alzheimer's by reaching my personal fundraising goal of $5,000.00, and I'd be so grateful if you sponsor me. Your support of the Walk to End Alzheimer's will help the Alzheimer's Association to enhance Alzheimer's care and support and advance critical research for all those affected by this devastating disease.
Together, we can reclaim the future for millions. Please visit my fundraising homepage to sign up or to donate today.
With Much Love,
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
