I am reactivating my Walk team for 2020 on The Longest day, 6/20/20 - during Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness month. This will be my 5th year to participate in the Sonoma-Marin Walk to End Alzheimer's. I continue to be honored by those who support my walk and those who walk with me! I am grateful for the incredible response of donations the past 4 years - not only to me but also to the women on our team!
My cousin, Martha, got me started on this journey. She did her 1st Walk in 2014 in Missouri. Martha's Team was Keeping the Memories Alive and I "stole" the name! I walk, as Martha did, to honor 3 siblings. My mom, Marion, my Aunt Dorothy (Martha's mom), and my Uncle Dick. I also walk to honor my mom's best friend Jane and sweet Helen who was like a mother to me and an "adopted" grandma to my children. I am walking to honor the spouses, parents and siblings of so many many friends! Those we have lost and those who have been diagnosed.
The end of Alzheimer's starts with US! Please make a donation (or join our Team!) to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure. I would be honored to have you join me in the fight for Alzheimer's first survivor!
Thank you for joining the movement! Blessings - Susan
