Edit to our family story: Mom passed away from Alzheimer’s on January 17, 2018
Our team, Team Helen, walks to honor our mom, grandma, aunt, cousin and friend Helen Ebel. This will be our third year participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, our first after losing mom to this disease.
Mom suffered from Alzheimer’s for many years before passing on January 17, 2018.
Mom was a loving and caring person and Alzheimer’s took this away along with her ability to talk, eat, recognize her children and grandchildren, walk and eventually her life. We choose not to remember what this disease did to her but who she was.
We, Team Helen, are walking and raising money so possibly we don’t have to go through what mom did. We walk and raise money so our kids, and her grandkids, and our grandkids, and her great grandkids, go through what mom did. We walk and raise money so someday doctors will find a cure so NO ONE has to go through what mom did.
We are not asking you to give any more than you can afford to give. Please help us #EndAlz
