In 2011, I participated in my first Walk to End Alzheimer’s. I made a promise to myself on that day that I would walk every year until they find a cure. With the help and support of my family and friends, I have been able to keep my promise. I lost my dad in 2018 to this horrible disease. He cared for my mom who was diagnosed in 2008 with Alzheimer's before being diagnosed himself in 2015. My mom thank God is still doing well and I take her on the walk with me each year. Now more than ever we need to find a cure for this disease. Many people in nursing homes today suffer from some sort of dementia. We saw first hand the vulnerability of these people with the high number of deaths that occurred in nursing homes over the last several months. We let our elderly and most vulnerable down. Let's dedicate this year to those that were lost and left to die alone due to the pandemic. You can do so by supporting me by making a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a CURE for Alzheimer's.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with YOU.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
