Last year my grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I have worked with people with Alzheimer's before, and I have witness first hand how bad this disease is. So when I found out my grandpa had it I was devastated. I just couldn't believe my grandfather, the smartest man in the whole world (at least to me) had a disease that had no cure. Sadly we lost my grandpa October 24, 2019. When my grandpa past away it hit our family hard. I miss him each and everyday. I'm beyond blessed to have 32 yrs with him. So I walk in his memory and hopefully one day we can find a cure so no one has to experience the pain my family feels.
So I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
