I'm walking for my best friend, Grandma Barb. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's roughly 10 years ago and battled all the way until the end; we lost her on July 30th, 2019. The hardest part for our family was to see her deteriorate slowly over time and realize that it is never going to get better. I am walking to help find a cure for this disease so my daughter does not have to see me lose my memory or be able to care for myself any longer. I do not want to put the burden onto my child. Let's fight this monster together!
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
