Please support my team, Alz You Need is Love, in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's.
My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease 3 years ago. It is an absolutely devastating disease not only for her but for our entire family (there's a reason why it's referred to as "The Longest Goodbye"). While we have a large support system to care for her (two MDs, one soon-to-be RN, and a full time caregiver), there are so many families suffering with this disease that are not as fortunate. The Alzheimer's Association provides resources to help families navigate through the disease progression including providing a 24/7 caregiver hotline. Furthermore, they tirelessly advocate on behalf of patients and their families locally and nationally (I was lucky enough to help on this front in Washington D.C. last April). They continuously fight for increased access to resources and funding towards ultimately finding a cure.
While I would give anything to have my old, healthy mom back, I would give even more to see this awful disease eradicated from existence. I am beyond thankful for the Alzheimer's Association in not only supporting us but in providing hope that there will be a future without Alzheimer's.
I strongly urge you to please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. On behalf of my mom and my family, thank you for joining our fight.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
