As many of you know, my best friend Sue (we have been friends since we were 14) was diagnosed with early on set Alzheimer's. Until this happened, I had no idea how devastating this disease is not only for Sue but for her family and friends. Sue has been in a Memory Care facility in Michigan since February of 2017, near her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren who she loves and adores. Though I miss her terribly, I know this is the safest and best place for her now. I try to visit Sue once a month and cherish the time we spend together. It is so so difficult to say goodbye not knowing how Sue will be the next time I visit. I usually cry halfway home to Wisconsin thinking of why this happened to Sue. I know there are many other people who are dealing with family and friends with Alzheimer's asking the same question.
We are asking you to support us in this fight by either joining us on the Alzheimer's Walk on Sept. 15th or by making a donation to our team.
Together we can make a difference.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
