My Mom, Alice Greenwood, passed away from complications of Alzheimer's on July 9, 2008, after years of fighting the disease while taking care of her husband, Kenneth Greenwood. It was a long and tough battle which she finally lost.
So many of my family and friends have lost the fight with Alzheimer's. So many more who who have been diagnosed and are fighting through it now. We share a common bond, an undying goal to rid Alzheimer's from our lives and our vocabulary. We hold our heads high in hope we will see an end to this disease.
There is progress made each and every day, yet the treatment and cure have not been found. We can and will win, but we need your help.
