Team Oasis is back for the 4th straight year at the Walk to End Alzheimer's!! The Oasis is a program for people in the early to mid stages of Alzheimer's/ Dementia. We meet every Thursday at FBC Lewisville for a four hour period of fun, music, exercise, food and fellowship! We have 30 participants and 30 volunteers that attend each week. Working with these sweet people week in and week out has motivated me further to help find a treatment or a cure to Alzheimer's Disease. It has also opened my eyes to the support, education and care families need when dealing with this disease. This fall we are doubling the size of our program because there are so many in the community that need our help.
While we experience so many moments of joy during our Oasis group, there is always the harsh reality that my participants are not going to get better. We need your help to fight for these sweet families.
Alzheimer's is cruel ugly disease and it has to be stopped.
Every 66 seconds someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

Help us to one day see a world without Alzheimer's Disease!
