In 1995 my mother, Janat McQuaid, began to forget things. I was pregnant with my second child at the time and my mom was 76 years old. She passed away in 2003 and those years in between where full of bittersweet times. I miss my mom and missed having her around to help and advise me as I raised 2 children. But more than that, I watched my best friend slowly slip away. I don't want that to happen to anyone again so I have set up a team (For Them, For Us and Beyond) to help raise money to get rid on this heartbreaking disease.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
