It's time for the 2019 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's disease. It is estimated that 5.8 million Americans have Alzheimer's (approximately 200,000 of those are under age 65) and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. We must find a cure - not just drugs to treat the disease.
It's easy to forget that Alzheimer's is a terminal disease. It's certainly bad enough that it robs an individual of their memories, but it also eventually takes their dignity and their life.
Together, I hope we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please join me on the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® on September 28, 2019 at The Grandscape in The Colony (Nebraska Furniture Mart). Also, if you still have any charitable dollars left in your budget for 2019, please consider making a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Please don't worry if you don't contribute - we all have different causes that we are passionate about.
