I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I have had several family members that have had Alzheimer's/Dementia. It is heartbreaking to watch the decline of a happy, active and independent person to depending on you for direction to complete everyday tasks or doing it for them. So many with Alzheimer's feel lonely because they withdrawl from everyday living because they cannot keep up with conversations, activities or even watching tv. I have seen so many have their dignity stripped away from this disease and my goal is to take action against this horrible disease.
Please make a donation or come walk with me. Help me make a difference so that you, your loved one or just someone you know does not have to cope with the effects of this disease. I am walking on this day in honor of my Great Grandmother, my Granny and my Mother -n- Law.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
