On May 5th, 2018, I lost my sweet mom to this dreadful disease. While I was blessed to have had her for 77 years, a lot of her memories were stolen due to the effects of Alzheimer's. Looking back at those early years, sometimes I wonder how we made it. Alzheimer's takes a toll on your life and family in ways that are indescribable.
With the love and support of a great group of friends and family, we have navigated our way through many rough days. Mom is no longer with us, but her spirit lives on. I am determined to fight and to help raise funds to bring awareness and ultimately a cure. The battle is not over. Won't you help me fight? This disease is devastating and something needs to be done.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
