Why do I Walk? I walk in honor of Gene, Mom's precious husband of 10 years who passed away in August of 2018, one year after Mom's death. Although Mom & Gene spent the last few years of their lives in Assisted Living, Mom was Gene's primary (24/7) caregiver until her death. The disease robbed Mom and Gene of the wonderful life they once shared, and I witnessed the toll it took on both of them. I also walk for friends and extended family with parents who are now living with Alzheimer's. I know the challenges they are facing, and I want to show my support in a substantial way.
Now more than ever I am determined to do all I can to make a difference in the fight against this terrible disease that has affected my family, and quite likely, has affected someone you love. Please partner with me by making a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
I need your support to help me do my part as we all look forward to a world without Alzheimer's. I hope you will consider a gift today. You may make your donation on line, or send a check made payable to the Alzheimer's Association to my attention, % Brookdale Senior Living, 111 Westwood Place, Suite 400, Brentwood, TN 37027 by November 1st. Together we can make a profound difference.
Thank you for joining me in this fight; the end of Alzheimer's disease starts with me . . . and with you..
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
