I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
In 2017 after three years of slow decline I watched my father slip further into the disease until he was nearly unrecognizable and could barely function. It was heartbreaking. June 25, 2017 on a warm, summer night I held his hand as he passed. This is why I WALK, so that one day Alzheimer's will be a memory instead of our loved ones.
My father was a generous and kind man who taught me the value of helping others. Now I want to help bring and end to Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association!
