My dear Mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's about 4years ago. I have watched her die while living. Some days are better than others! Alzheimer's is a horrible disease~ Go in a room; Put on googles and headphones; Smear the goggles with vaseline; Turn on the sound of muffled music; Turn off the lights: Try to do a task. Alzheimer's is so much worse than this. My Mother will not be cured of this disease, but by giving any amount just maybe someone you love will be, or even your self. I will visit my Mother to the end. She will not be forgotten. I will talk to her, love on her, hold her hand, and kiss her. She is loved dearly. She is a person, a lady, a Soldier of the Cross. She taught her children well. She loves her Lord and family. Her light shines bright!! She is "STILL MOM"!!!!
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
My dear Mother passed away August 7, 2018 after a battle with this horrible disease, but God’s Amazing Grace won that morning. She is healed, her mind is clear! She is Home~ HEAVEN; giving all Glory to her Lord and Savior ~Jesus Christ!! Free and home forevermore!!!!
