I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
My father died in August of 2017 at the age of 102 after suffering with Alzheimers for 15 years. I walk in memory of my father, Gene Long, my mother-in-law, Lura Nelson, my sister-in-law, Barbara Turner and in honor of my Aunt Elizabeth Philips. Our family has seen the devastating effects this disease has on the person and the families. Won't you please join me in the walk and make a donation to advance the research to end Alzheimers.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
