My Mother-in-Law suffers from this disease, being diagnosed 4 years ago. She's such a fun woman, and I hate to see her losing herself and the memories that we've shared together, getting our nails done, drinking fun cocktails, and having girl's time with my sister-in-law. She's always been like a second Mom to me and it's disheartening to watch the disease progress. My husband started Walking to End Alzheimer's 3 years ago in order to bring awareness and funding to find a diagnosis, treatments, and eventually a cure.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
