5 million currently have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow quickly as baby boomers are reaching the age of high-risk. Let's face it friends - our future may be at risk if we can't change the course of this disease. The disease does not discriminate and my family has been personally affected. I also know many of my friends who are dealing with the same. I can't say I chose the work I do because of this, but it certainly adds passion to my days. Here in Geisinger's Memory and Cognition program we are doing our part.
