If you have had the pleasure of knowing my Nana, you know that she is a funny, kind, witty, and loving person. Alzheimer's has taken this person from our family, her friends, and of course, herself. Not only is she changing as a person, but she is suffering from the most prevalent symptom of this disease: memory loss. Nana lived an extraordinary life; a life that most people could not imagine. It's heartbreaking to see that she is forgetting the most important parts of her life. She doesn't know that she has great-grandkids, she doesn't remember most of her grandkids, and the memories of her own children are slowly fading away.
As her granddaughter, or as she calls me, her niece, I will be fundraising for the next few months in honor of Nana and the other 5 million Americans living with this disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. I am fundraising and walking in honor of my Nana and to preserve the memories of the our next generation. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
Lots of Love,
