An almost 8 year journey has come to a close. Early on the morning of April 16, my mom passed from this life into the next. After living in confusion and fog for so long, she is now able to think, communicate and sing clearly for the first time.
Throughout this journey, my family and I have received an incredible amount of support from so many avenues, and one of the biggest of those have been through the Alzheimer's Association. From getting us on the right track during every stage of this disease, to providing care giver resources and outlets for us to process, this organization is doing so much for those going through this disease as well as providing funding to eventually find a cure for this horribly nasty disease.
My mom will forever live on in eternity with our Savior, but will also be remembered by so many that are here still on earth. Her joy and her love for people will live on through those that knew her. We will never forget the things she's taught us, nor will be forget every moment of love shared with her while she was with us.
If you would like to view the Celebration of Life for my mom, you can follow the link: https://livestream.com/ewo/events/8656797/videos/190546937. Thank you to all who attended and made it a day of true celebration, hope, and joy. Though we are sad in the midst of her passing because of the next years we must live without her, we rejoice that we will see her again and be made whole along with her.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
